  • Lowrance Elite-4x and 4 HDI Fishfinders

Does anyone use these fish finders on their yaks? I am looking for feedback, this will be my first fish finder. Thanks!

4x doesn't have gps/plotting and the 4 does. I would recommend the 4, gps speeds and tracking are useful. I didn't think I would need it until I got it. Now I won't own a finder without gps. Mostly for speed/quick top view of my location in relation to the last bite.

Also, you got those prices backwards.

I use the elite 5, Its the same as the elite-4hdi but it has a bigger screen and only $50 more at bass pro. I have only used it a few times since I bought it but so far I love it. Here is a link. http://www.basspro.com/Lowrance-Elit...ct/1306130856/

Get the Elite 4 HDI. GPS is a great tool.

If you are an older yaker, you will need a bigger screen. Trust me.
