For some time I've wanted a more efficient way to store two kayaks in my garage.
Wall space is a premium so I had them sitting side-by-side on the garage floor.
I never liked that arrangement because of the space they took up and the fact that they were hard to move out of my way.
So I did something about it yesterday and today.
I made an over-under rack on wheels.
I used about $100 worth of PVC pipe, wood and hardware and a little over 6 hours of labor to come up with this:

The PVC acts like rollers to help me load and unload the boats. I can leave it indoors and load onto my carts from the garage or push the whole unit into my driveway as in the photos and load from there.
I'm fairly pleased with the outcome. It will certainly save me a little space in my garage.
