    I just installed the Elite 4 HDI that had the same wires. You don't need them and can just cap them off, they are for connection to other electronics.

      Yep, I just clipped them off and taped over them....I think they're for an external antenna? Something you wouldn't need/use on a kayak

        They are the NMEA wires, used to connect to a marine radio so it can broadcast your vessel ID and position. Not needed or connected on a kayak. Others have cut them off and capped the wire at the plug. I ran mine inside the hull and zip tied them in a nice little bundle in case I ever want to use them in the future.
