Well the parts came in the mail this week so i took the time to start assembly of my spot alive thing a mo bobber 2000.
All the goodies laid out.
So what we have above is a livewell in the making. It will fit in the space between my crate and seat and hold enough live bait for a trip (close to a 4 Gal capacity). Much better that my minnow bucket dragging over the side technique.
This will be a complete unit when done. i want to be able to pull the whole package out of the kayak and place it in another Kayak if needed. This means the pump, power and drainage is all one package. Basically all i will have to do is unclip the tie downs from the kayak grab the bucket handle and pull it out.
I'm using a 360GPH bilge pump running off a 6V 12mah battery to power the unit. Similar setups yielded 30 plus run hrs on a single charge so a day at the bridge should be a breeze.
I have a dry box that will attach to the front of the 5 gallon bucket holding the battery and fuse assembly. The spray head is adjustable and should allow me to vary the flow rate and keep most baits alive. The bilge pump will hang over one side of the kayak and the out flow tube over the other keeping my tank well free of excess water and spot Sh@t.
At this time i ran a dry fit with everything hooked up and it does pump water, Aerate and drain perfectly. I will post all the details when i finish testing the whole package.
