Closed-Cell Foam for kayak

Hi,

I am new to the form and fish out of an old sit in precept kayak. I was looking at air bladders for various reason but was wondering.......has anyone used closed cell foam for buoyancy and as a bulkhead? ANy luck?

pool noodles! I have several stuffed in my yak just in case. I also have used them taped together in a sit inside that i used for duck hunting they are cheap and work great

I think I went through Carolina Custom Foam (through eBay at the time) for a closed cell foam to put under my seat. Both price and customer service were outstanding.
