a week or so ago I lost my Wheelez HD sand cart for my Hobie- didn't want to spend the $200 plus S&H, so I ordered the HD cart- came in yesterday and since I was just coming back home from some medical tests that were pretty invasive, I didn't even open the box- after a decent night of rest I opened the box and assembled the cart- here are my impressions:
First, Hobie has listened to our complaints about the lousy tack welds and the carts falling apart needing to be re-welded...the new carts have much larger and more complete welds...
Secondly, the overall quality is better and the system of securing the wheels is a simple lock-in pin arrangement through a drilled hole in the axle...as a machinist- I like simple fool-proof things...so all things considered I would recommend this cart if you have a Hobie- as with all things Hobie, it is more expensive than it should be...
