I forgot how much work is involved in setting up all the accessories for a new kayak- met up with Dan Hammack yesterday at Backyard Boats to pickup some of the parts I needed to outfit my new girl...he is a really great guy to work with- gave me a couple of alternatives and options I had not considered in mounting the battery holder and routing the power cables for the fish finder/GPS...settled on two RAM Revolution rod holders and, naturally, a sailing rudder upgrade- something I won't do without- using the Yak Attack rail mounting systems...still have to drill holes in my brand new boat- Grrr...but they offer so much versatility and are easily sealed for the kayak out fittings to be as completely waterproof as possible and look clean and professional...using the Hobie battery holder means the maximum size battery I can use is a 9 aHr AGM battery- Dan assures me it is enough for the Elite 5 DSI to run at least a full day of fishing...I currently use a 12 aHr AGM battery...UPDATE- I am using my Hummingbird 798 ci SI sonar/GPS that I have never used (got it for my rebuild 170 Aquasport project) on the Lady Luck, had to do a bit of modification for the transducer cover to make it work...but it is in...putting the YackAttack Leverlock anchor trolley on the left side...nice and clean install...so at the end of the rigging Lady Luck will have the sailing rudder, a Hummingbird 798ci SI electronics mounted on a one inch Ram ball Hummingbird mount, a Hobie battery holder in the rear hatch, three 4 inch YakAttack gear tracs, two eight inch gear tracs (all with full backs) two 1.5 YakAttack screwballs with Ram Revolution rod holders and a YakAttack Carbon Visipole...she is indeed a lucky lady...and all done with nineteen 3/16th drilled holes in the boat...

Doesn't the new 2017 Outbacks have the downscan scupper option? You might be able to just swap out that one piece with your 2016 version.

The Lady Luck's maiden Voyage is almost here- waiting on my order to come in for the RAM Hummingbird mount- should be in Monday...first wetting of the hull-

Cakebread Chardonnay, perhaps? Figure some fish slime will be more appropriate...I am looking for a source to order her name decals- with all the technology available now a days it should be fairly easy to get

I finished the boat- the final touches were all cosmetic ones to pretty her up- Name decals and YakAttack decals...everything attached to the boat comes from YakAttack- the rails, screwballs, anchor trolley, etc...all YakAttack- Luther does a really nice job on giving us such nice, high quality and clean rigging equipment- and he is one of us- a kayak fisherman-
