I ordered a set of the orange shielded ceramic bearings for my low profile Abu Revo reels...kinda pricey, but rave reviews...dry with the casting brakes off the spool spins forever...just as advertised, much longer than factory bearings...but in the real world...with the centrifugal anti-backlash brakes correctly installed and adjusted...not much difference in casting distance...does it feel smoother, maybe...but hard to tell..in any event- new bearings...

The Revos have a unique bearing system totally different than the Shimano Curado 200E7 Reel...you have the bearings up tight to the spool where on the Curado the bearings are on the outer most ends of the shaft..the retainers are different, but after a few You Tube video viewings, it really is easy for an old Inside Machinist...

I installed some of these bearings in my Curado. For my setup, I’ve noticed it takes less effort to cast the same lure the same distance. Definitely worth it for me.

I did some casting today out on the water with it..you can tell the difference...effortless is a good description...
