I might add that those were some tasty crabs. I steamed mine last night and they tasted nice and sweet. Im thinking about going again Friday morning. I had a ball out there. All I need to get is a crabbing glave to make transfer of crabs from traps to cooler smoother. I had my crab tongs but had to turn a little too much for my liking to put in the cooler. I got comfortable out there and I am thinking of trying more traps next time. I have 21 total that I mostly use from the Bill Burton Pier.

I haven't noticed the fins causing any issues with scaring away fish when trolling, so I wouldn't imagine creeping up a crab line in a slow, steady, peddle, peddle rhythm would do anything to cause the crabs to turn loose from a chicken neck...the "Crab Whisperer" that inspired Metroman uses a Hobie Revolution to crab from."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

I have been crabbing with a trotline for many years off of a canoe. I just adapted the ideas that worked the best for me to my Hobie Revolution. It worked great. I will have to do it again before the crabs leave the rivers.
This is the Crab Whisperer over and out......
