    Neat

I've never seen diamondplate aluminum on a kayak before. What made you come up with that idea. Looks great and must be tough.

All the scratches underneath of the diamond plate influenced me to find a way to protect the kayak!!

This looks interesting. Did you complete and test the project already? I would love to hear how it went.

Nice kayaks as well. I will search though what I have and post some up later. Love the diamond plate armor.

I will be doing the first "on-water" test this Monday. I still need to decide on how I'm going to encase the battery. Debating between shrinkwrap PVC, or some sort of sealed enclosure. But I had it all wired up this weekend (I replaced/upgraded some other electrical components) and it ran just fine while on the cart on land. Compared to my normal group 24 AGM, I'm looking at a weight reduction of about 62% with this battery...for the same (if not better) performance.

I think it's a wonderful idea. Did you rivet the plates to secure them? I like the way it looks too.

Actually just screws into small drilled holes to create a tight seal. Thanks,

Where'd you get the lithium battery from? How much did it cost? How much does it weigh? Maybe I need to get one for my Minn Kota. Gettin' tired lugging a 50# lead acid around.

I notice you have MD and a bunch of numbers. I assume you are registered for something. Do kayaks have to be registered depending on what you are fishing or crabbing for?
