Safety flag/light combo

I've seen lots of guys using the Visi-pole on their yaks. Does anyone else use anything different? I need to get one as I plan to get out on some bigger waters this year and want every chance I can get that the boaters see me.

I missed opportunity to get inexpensive one from another site but guy has since closed his store. Just looking for alternatives.

There's been a bunch of posts from different sites about the lights/poles. Guys that built their own eventually went to the Visi Pole because it lasts and the cost was not that much different

i made mine similar to the video but used .5" conduit it flares at one end already so you dont need to buy couplers. I used that same flash light and it sticks into the flared end of the conduit perfectly... rather than buying a night light i glued a ping pong ball on the end... all together i think mine cost about $6. I did buy an extra flash light in the event i turtle and destroy the first one.
