  • Wrist Watch Fishfinder

    Hi guys,

    I'm considering getting this:

    [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Johnson-Outdoors-406280-1-Humminbird-Fishfinder/dp/B000752MKO"]Amazon.com: Humminbird Smartcast RF35 Fishfinder: GPS & Navigation@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ywTIHuytL.@@AMEPARAM@@41ywTIHuytL[/ame]

    I primarily fish WSSC lakes so I just need to determine the depth of the water I'm fishing and to locate the weedlines/contours. You guys think its worth it?

    For not much more money you can get a fixed mount fishfinder with considerably larger screen. From my perspective, it is more of a gimmick than a practical fishing tool.

      I have a fishing buddy 110, but that thing wont clamp onto anything on my kayak properly. I don't really want to mount anything on my kayak since I'll be mooring it at one of the wssc lakes.

      How about this?

        I've never heard anything good with either of those but I've never tried them myself.

        Have you thought about making a mount you can clamp the FB110 to and then un-clamp it when you are done?

        I have a Humminbird that the head unit snaps on and off of the mount, you could get one of those and just take the head unit when you go.

          +1 on the HB mount. You just depress the lever and off it comes. I put my battery in with spade lugs and it comes out in seconds too.
