I bought a bunch of those knockoff clear unpainted sebile "magic swimmers". The hardware is surprisingly stout and almost exactly like the original sebiles. At a dollar a piece versus $20 each I had to give them a try. I made a makeshift paint booth and started painting the first one (the one on the right). It's coming along ok for a first try. Still needs another clear coat and eyes. I'll post it up when I'm all done. Anyone else given these things a try? Or anyone have any tips for painting?

This place does not have that one, but many others. It's cheap, but I prefer to learn to monkey with and carve wood.

I found those on Ebay a couple months ago and am just getting around to painting them. I saw some recently but not nearly as cheap. Search for "unpainted sebiles" and they should pop up. Best price I see right now is $15 for 3 with free shipping. So still not terrible if you want to play around with them. Here's a picture of how they come.Attached Fileswww.anglerswithoutborders.com
