  • Kayak Lights

Added some lighting and switch to operate the lights a d fish finder. Running a LifePO4 battery. Connecting straight to the battery was causing some issues. Running it through a step down transformer that limits the voltage and amps seemed to be the fix. I have the trolling motor to modify and install like the one I did for my outback. It's on the to do list today.

Looking great Chip. Do you think the bow lights will get messed up bumping into things? I need to get me a pedal powered kayak someday soon.

Are the lights the YakPower brand? If so, let me know how they work out for you. I installed some in an old kayak a couple years ago and 5 of 6 didnt get past a year before failing.

They are Botepon, from amazon...cheap set, but fully water proof ...I don't normally bang that part of the kayak into anything...but I will now that I've said that...
