New FF ?

I'm really considering a new FF for my yak. I've been looking at the Lowrance 4X color with DI. Anyone use this model? Any suggestions for decent priced FF? Just want to upgrade from my basic Humminbird 170. Not interested in high end units just want more detail and thought color might be nice. Anyone use scupper transducer on Hobie PA? I have some gear trac installed and think I might use a RAM mount for this unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lowrance makes a through the scupper mount for their skimmer transducers. Check into it. The mount may work with that unit.

Check out the thread at this link below. I have a couple photos of the scupper mount. It works great on the Jackson kayak's scupper. I also have the Elite4x DSI. I haven't used it enough to make any hard judgements yet.
