  • Perception Sport Pescador 12 vs Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120

I'm long ways from being to get a yak, but I saw this deal on a Perception Sport Pescador 12, which is supposedly a rebranded Tarpon 120. I'm wondering if anyone can help me distinguish the differences between the two? Whenever the day comes I think this might be the yak I'll be looking for (unless I can afford a Hobie by then )

    Thanks in advance.

Minus the seat, but good (or great) used seats are often found around $50.00 on the forums here.

It is the same boat as the 2008 model Tarpon 120. Got two back in August for $377 a piece shipped to my door from Amazon. I had actually had the West marine Pompano on order for $399 but really didn't feel like having to go through the trouble of finding a seat and tax also came into the equation. Cancelled the order and jumped on the Amazon deal when it came up.
Haven't seen it go any where near that low since and I am who posted the deal on Slickdeals when it dropped to $484. Still a steal at that price, very nice boat and I don't think you will find anything comparable in that price range. Check out http://camelcamelcamel.com/ and you can put in a price drop alert and may catch a deal in the future. Amazon is a little weird with the pricing when I got mine the yellow were a hundred cheaper than the red and the latest $484 low price was only for the red with the yellow being $599.
