I mean it is a nice unit from what I hear but again since I don't have a car I can't really go anywhere further than 30 minuets away during the school year. Also with the transducer i'm not sure on how I would feed it through my molded scupper hole. Does the cuda transducer have a hole that I could put a zip tie through? Because I plan to mount it like this http://www.unluckyhunter.com/2013/01...-in-ocean.html rather than In the hull so I can still put my rods in the center hatch.

Even better may be to replace the aluminum with a small piece of 1/4 inch starboard. Unless the aluminum is anodized it will pit if used in saltwater. Otherwise, it is a very simple rig.

yeah I was thinking about that...Maybe even just cut out a square of a thick plastic tub or something.
