    I've been using the dropper loop for years. It worked fine. One issue I had with it was it tends to slip, and the loop gets smaller, whenever a good load is applied to the line.

    Anyway, I recently found the kiwi knot. It's similar to the dropper, but much faster to tie. It also doesn't slip like the dropper.

    Anyone use the kiwi instead of the dropper?

    i usually tie a 6 turn surgeon's loop, never had 1 slip and u can cut the loop and snell a hook on if u want
