Lol tell me how it works out! Seems like it would work for WP or maybe even crappie.

My brother has been making his own bottlecap lures for years. He shared a table with me at the flea market yesterday and had several on display. He ended up giving a couple away to customers who bought other lures from him.

What species has he had success with using these lures? I've heard of batman figurines working in the great lakes for lake trout.
The best time spent is time that doesn't feel like it was spent at all. When it's worth it you'll give everything to do it all over again no matter what the cost.

My brother has caught small brown trout on his bottlecap lure in a stocked trout stream near his home in PA. He tells me he often gets follows from fish, then when he knows where they are lurking, he throws a small spinner or other lure to catch them. He makes his lures somewhat different than the guy in the video, who just bends the cap in half. My brother takes a tack hammer and flattens either end. He uses hammer and nail to punch small hole in either end through the flattened section. He uses split rings to attach a tiny treble hook on one end and the lure attachment point on the other. He does not make them commercially -- he does it just for fun.
