Looks very well done. I mount a 40 pounder on the side of my 16' Oldtown canoe, works great.
If you intend to use the troller almost every time you launch then consider mounting the FF transducer to the bottom of the trolling motor. BPS sells the exact attachment with radiator hose clamp that you will need to do this. Thats what I did and the FF works at top performance. However, I found out that I can't hook the FF to the trolling battery. Way too much interference on the FF screen when I turned the troller on too. As soon as I hooked the FF to a small dedicated battery the FF worked perfectly.
What type/size/weight of battery will you be using to power the trolling motor?

I did notice that the bar need more stabilization from the torque of the motor. Other than that it was a blast to make wakes in the lake. The kayak really moved when I turned it up to the 5 speed setting. I think I ran the motor for roughly 4 hours from various speeds and cranked it up at the end to 5 for about 20-25 minutes. The battery still has 80% charge when I got home and checked it. WOW! Here is a picture of the minor modifications at home.
I have two questions. Are you not carrying a paddle with you, I did not see it? Second, I assume there is enough room to remove the trolling motor and lay it in one of the pontoons or slide father up to paddle as it looks like its in your paddle stroke when up. Always be prepared for it not to run someday.
Looks like a nice job.
"If you can't have fun doing it, it ain't worth doing." ... or you're just doing it wrong.

The paddle is on the otherside. Motor will fit in one of the pontoons or I can still paddle by sliding up. When I came into the boat ramp area during the testing I lifted up the motor and paddle in so the motor wouldn't hit bottom.
It looks great man!! Glad that it worked out well! I always laughed at the wake provided by the max setting!! I would joke with my buddies that they better watch out being behind me! LOL
