I had posted that my Humminbird 160 (portable unit) wasn't working in my Frontier with the in-hull puck transducer, but had worked in my canoe.... Well, I figured out why. The bottom of the Frontier has ridges in it to keep it going straight. They make the hull thicker than the 2" max that the puck transducer will go through.
Not a big deal. It gave me an excuse to upgrade to a Lowrance Elite 4 (color) that I will hook up to one of the Scotty mounts as soon as I install them.
I was going to attach a photo of the underside of the Frontier, but I can't get one out from my office
