I did find a navionics product that is "compatible" called Navionics Marine and Lakes. Sounds like what I am looking for...simple and generic, not to mention $99.

Only downfall is at the Bass Pro website the reviews were great expect for the usage with Humminbird units. Sounds like Humminbird is blaming Navionics...and Navionics are blaming Humminbird. Maybe the owners are idiots and cannot use a PC...who knows.
I have both the gold and the fish n chip (which is no longer available). If you can get the fish n chip on ebay or something, it's the way to go. Otherwise the gold is fine. The contours are really course, but at least it's a map. the fish n chip has really fine contour lines as well as weed beds on the flats which are surprisingly accurate. The contours are pretty close.

Finally got my chip, I have been using it for a few weeks. I used my 15% off coupon form the CBKA Tournament and cashed in all my reward points on my business expense card. I got the Navionics+ for $36 from bass pro. It uses the fish n chips maps for the sonar readings. It's incredible, so easy to find those deep drop offs and structure fish are lurknig.
