Fish in it a few times before adding a lot of accessories-sometimes you will discover exactly where you want your rod holders and where you don't- if you search the threads you will find dozens of pictures of our rigged yaks"Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

^+1....also just take your kayak out with one rod. Get a feel for you casting motion and paddling stroke. Be sure not to install anything that will restrict these motions.
Also get to know your reaching capabilities. Your kayak will probably have tons of hatches and storage, but not all are physically possible to reach while sitting on the kayak. I used to sit on my kayak on the garage floor and just imagine where to install my gear. Just beware, my wife would make fun of me while I would do that...asking me how the water conditions were.2015 OLIVE HOBIE OUTBACK

+2, just fish it the way it is....once you've gotten comfortable in it figure out what you NEED to add. I actually buy the item and take it out fishing with me then hold it in different locations to see if it is going to get in the way. If you can't do that, put the kayak on foam and sit in it on land and tape it to the kayak, then pretend you are fishing or paddling to make sure it is in the right place prior to permanently mounting it.Jeff

I posted a few modifications I made to my OK Prowler T13 on another site. Pretty basic stuff, fish finder installation, waterproof battery box and anchor trolley. Check these threads out if you are interested:
