  • FF spare battery

I am looking for a spare 12 v battery for my fish finder. The current one I use with my Lowrance is a CSB 12 v 7.2 Ah. Does anyone know of a good source online or off that is less than the usual $40? I forgot to charge my battery Saturday night, so I was without the FF on Sunday. It would have been nice to have that spare one handy.

Steven Battery Warehouse, in Annapolis should have one. I just bought a spare on Amazon. I got a glass mat 10ah for more than what you mentioned. They have regular wet cell batteries in 7AH on Amazon also for a lower price. You might start there.

I got mine from Battery Wharehouse in Mitcheville / Upper Marlboro, MD. I got two batteries. Both are 12v 12amp since I have a 5.25 inch color screen and GPS that can consume battery power. I use one battery, but keep a second in my car if for some reason I experience a battery failure. Battery Wharehouse will also take your old battery for free recycling and they will test your battery and let you know if it bad.

I got my 8 amp battery from "Battery One" in Frederick, MD. My FF is b&w, no GPS, and doesn't use much power. Cost $20 about 2 years ago.

I've been extremely happy with Chrome Battery sold on Amazon.com
I currently use their $18 (7AH) model and it works great for my Lowrance 5DSI and/or Humminbird 597:

I'm planning to order this $24 model (10.5AH) for my boat eventually, but I haven't had any issues with the first battery:

They shipped it out very fast and their customer service was excellent. I'm a fan for life after talking to them on the phone with some questions a few months ago. Very friendly and helpful.

PS: I have had all of my different batteries running on several of these trickle chargers without any issues for 2 years:
          $28
