Best place to get Shimano reel serviced

I need to get one of my Shimano reels serviced. The bail is not coming all the way back to the reeling position by itself (I need to help it out). I've taken it apart to see if I could fix it, but no luck.

Anybody know where the best place is to get it fixed? Thx.

I'm not sure if they do repairs but Tochterman's in Baltimore is awesome. If they don't do repairs like that on site I am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.

I was amazed at what they carry and how helpful their staff is the first time I went there. I never expected that kind of tackle shop could exist in the city.

Take a little change for the meter parking though. The meter people are quick to ticket around there.

You can always send back to shimano as well. I sent a broken Stradic Ci4 in and it came back perfect again for $25. Totally worth it for that expensive of a reel.

There is a guy here in Arlington that does good work. His name is Phil and you can find him at the Rod and Reel on Lee Hwy. He fixes a lot of stuff I break, for instance I just picked up a new drive shaft for my Shimano Cardiff 401 that I stripped and he also repaired a rod that I snapped the tip off of when I was in MA. He was able to match the factory thread/wrap, it looks great.

I ended up sending it back to Shimano. It took 2 weeks to come back and it's back in perfect working order. Even though it was out of warranty, I don't see that they have cashed my check, and the repair slip says $0 due, so looks like they did it for free. Nice.
