Mine is 36" long including the carabiner...I tied mine to the center of my paddle. I swear I don't even notice it when paddling & it has never caused me any issues with a tangle...but Im 100% confident I would notice a missing paddle! Good luck...try just tying a piece of twine or small diameter rope and see if it bothers you before going the expense of bungee/parachord & carabiner.

I must be crazy, because I don't use a leash.... most of the time.

Ever since I got my Torque, the paddle usually stays strapped to the side of the hull. But I do carry extra cord and if I happen to head out without the motor I would certainly leash the paddle.

Before I got the Torque I didn't even know about the concept of a paddle leash, but I knew I'd be in trouble if I lost it. So I bought a pair of DarkFin Gloves.
