Just got done building a variation of this.

Thought I'd share in case anyone has not seen a similar plan. I modified the basic unit a good bit. Built two and attached them back to back and added some wheels. Also spaced the holes at 3" instead of 6". Added a couple of store bought holders to the outside for even more storage.
It's not fine woodworking but does the trick.
Pleasantly surprised at how stable it holds the rods and also the ease of placing and removing them.
Managing tackle and kayak gear is getting close to a full time job. I do enjoy it but it doesn't pay much and cuts into fishing time.
