Not quite a Kayak mod, but I think this is something many of us could find useful. I recently found I hated having my knives separate and in random places. So I cut up a painting drop cloth and aligned my knives/sharpener and put a few pins through the cloth. Then I asked my amazing wife to sit down and use her sewing machine to go to town on my sloppy pin job. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. She even added velcro to close the sharpener pocket. I used paracord line from my recent Gaff makeover to tie it all together. So, this cost a total of $0 due to everything being at the house...Hope this helps or encourages anyone else...
The one thing I can see improving is adding a flap so the knives can't fall out...but I did a few throw and drop tests and nothing fell out.
