Not sure what will get years of neglect off your yak. I do wash mine down with a little Dawn in a bucket of water and scrub it with a kitchen scrub pad. Works well for me, but I do that after every outing. Hope you can get it cleaned up the way you want.
Once I am done for the day......when transporting my kayak in the back of my pickup truck.....I stop by the "self serve" car wash and use the "soap foam brush" and then rinse it off with the wand at low pressure. Works like a charm....and it only takes 5-10 minutes max. DONE!
