  • Hobie rudder line replacement

Just curious if any members have replaced their rudder lines for their Hobie's? I have an 08 Outback and believe it may be time to start doing the research on replacing them.

I am a member over on the Hobie forum as well and found a few good links such as...

But, it looks like space is TIGHT. I have tried to get down and peer inside the boat through the hatches, but it is a bit difficult to see much of anything.

So, if anyone has done it please chime in with any tips and where you purchased your new lines from. I've seen kits on a few different sites for sale but I'm always open to suggestions.

    Tight lines.

It is tight in there. Not an easy job. I never replaced the rudder steering lines, but I did replace the rudder UP line. It's tough.

You can get spectra line from Austin Kayak: http://www.austinkayak.com/products/...Line-foot.html

    Good luck!
