Your Best Memory of the CBKA Tournaments

I start this threat so anyone can chime in and post about the best thing that they liked about any of the prior CBKA Tournaments. This thread will give anyone who is new to the Snaggedline forum and kayak fishing a feel for the upcoming tournament on Sept 12-14. Maybe they will join in on the fun.


The one (of many) memorable things about the CBKA Tournament last year for me was the Masgouf demo....and yes the fish was added to the potluck dinner, where many kayakers brought, cooked, and purchased lots of good food that Friday night.

This was from last year. Zach was asked to join CCA the night before multiple times so he would be in the running for the $500.00 largest fish caught prize offered by CCA at the tournament. But Zach would not come up with the $20.00 for the membership. And so he catches a Cownose Ray which would have probably been the largest fish caught (yes a Cownose ray is a fish. They are members of an ancient family of fish, includes rays and sharks, called the elasmobranchs, a type of fish whose skeleton is made of cartilage instead of bone) Not sure if CCA is offering same deal this year but join CCA anyway. And its was fun watching him get all wet trying to retrieve his lure.
