Shore fishing spot, Magothy river

Hello all,
I know this isn't really "your thing" but I don't have a yak to go fishing in as yet. I REALLY want to take my son out this weekend (3 day weekend) and wanted to try the Magothy river area. Do any of you know places where I am allowed to go and fish from shore in that area? I am not interested in standing on someone's dock or back yard and ticking anyone off.. I am looking for a place where we can relax and toss our lines in (i.e. a public area).

As you can tell I have not been down that area much. If I cannot find anything I will simply head back up to Lock Raven and fish there... which is nice too.

P.S. I hope to be in a Yak in the spring/early summer.

Beechwood park off beechwood park rd in pasadena. You can shore fish.

Downs Park in Pasadena, which is just north of the Magothy on the Bay, has a fishing pier.
