Thursday SH fishing 9-4

I'm planning to go fishing for SH tomorrow early evening. I'll probably launch around 4:30 pm at Mason Neck SP.

What lures have u had the most success with? Went this past summer with Capt. Mike the choice of lures were Horny Toad Frogs, came close but didn't set the hook.

I have my best luck with green hallow body frog. I use cheap generic frog and it work fine too, no need expensive one.

I had many top water blow up today but no hook up. They kept missing the frog. It was slow until around sun set time, and I had many blow up one after another.

It's quite exciting seeing a fish came out of cover to hit the frog, but its more excited to land some fish

I can't fish early on Monday, the earliest I can make to SPSP is around 11 am. It's forecast east wind on Monday though

Will wait and see what the weather forecast is closer to Monday before I decide on fishing. Should be able to find someplace to fish regardless of which direction the wind is blowing...as long as it's not crazy.
