I wish this was my own fishing report. But I thought the Snaggedline community would be interested in two recent reports made on Tidalfish by local fishing guide and author, Len Rudow (his Tidalfish board name is ultangler).

http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/show...ighlight=trout.
In both cases he caught decent sized speckled trout within eyesight of Thomas Pt light by casting BKDs and retrieving them fast and erratically. He gave a few hints about where he was:
1) within a 2-mile radius of the lighthouse
2) in 6-8 ft water depth
Using those clues, you can narrow things down to just a few potential areas. I would think that these target areas are within reach of the Beverly-Triton park or possibly the other launch on the north shore of the South River.
