Stripers

Went out at rockhall sunday after the lousy football game. Got on the water around 530. First cast got a 12 inch striper on a tony spoon#14. Caught atleast 60. Was catching on every cast all small. Down to 4 or 5 inches. Then the sun set and the bigger ones moved in. Switched to a 5 inch broken back rebel and first cast 18 incher. Two casts later 24.5 incher. Had two more get off in 3 or 4 casts. Awsome fun on a 7 foot ultralite.

nice report... sounds like things from some of the reports things are picking up!! hope the trend continues... it will hopefully be a good fall!!

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that. This is my rookie year on the Bay, so I'm still learning (a lot) but have still had some good days. Looking forward to what this fall has to offer, really liking the optimism and success folks have been having recently.

That was the best day I've ever had fishing with lures. It was hard for me to leave when they was turning on but it was getting dark fast.

I will remember that tip..
If I read the rules correctly.. you can only keep 2 of them if they are between 18 to 28 inches for stripers (though one can be above 28 inches)? Do I understand that correctly? I am just testing my knowledge.
