Was this patapsco valley state park? If so how is the fishing there? Me and a buddy want to go....my fly rod is ready!

Right river wrong park. This water is along side 895 just south of the Baltimore harbor.

To answer your question, the fishing can be great there. I haven't fished it with a kayak yet but have seen others do this. Right now the water levels are low but don't let that stop you from fishing it by foot. There are a lot of shore bound opportunities and it's fairly easy to wade fish. Certain places are loaded with smallmouth bass and it's also stocked with trout. Some holes are deep and covered enough to keep holdovers during a mild summer. Give it a try!
