Started at St Indigoes and wind was mild out of the North. I started trolling and there was large schools of bait busting everywhere. Nothing underneath. I trolled in about 5-10ft and caught several stripers along drop-offs and points. I left after a sudden wind shift out of the south and headed to PLO. I decided not to put the Boat back in the water but instead fish Lake conoy from the shore which was protected from the wind.
I Caught a lot of spot to be salted later. I tied on a popping cork and caught several reds and specs walking through the weeds along the water line. They were small, but a lot of fun to catch. It was a great end to the day. The bigger ones are lurking close to shore on an incoming tide.
