Please allow myself to introduce myself.........Like most newbies, I've been checking out this site for a while. But now that i am an official Kayak fisherman to be, I thought I'd register.

I live in Bel Air


I plan to fish the Flats pretty hard this spring.

Local points on the Bush, GP and Middle River area.

I've almost always fished using surface plugs, spoons and soft plastics. But I am hoping to learn a few new trolling tips.(getting a new book for Christmas) I've spent a good amount of time running planner boards and 12 rods around the Bay Bridge.(not my cup of tea).

Welcome aboard!! I am in Bel Air and fish all those areas...and more. One of my kayaks is a moken 10 lite, wheel in the keel is priceless. The flats is where dreams are made, we were catching them 40" last spring. You're just in time for the susquehanna yellow perch run. They are here, but only smaller males...things should improve after the holidays.

Ed, welcome aboard from another Harford County Ole Boy. I still consider myself a newbie since I just started this past summer. First suggestion(plug), is to purchase the book written by Yak Fish. If you fish the flats as I do, it will be invaluable to your learning process.

I have recently joined myself and have been reading posts for a couple of months now. I too am in the Bel Air area though I have not done very much fishing I would love to try kayak fishing. I have been paddling a tarpon 160 for two summers now and enjoy it very much. Now it's time to fish and I am hoping someone would show me the ropes....er I mean lines.
