Bluefish in Bay

I was out today fishing a little north of Thomas Point, 25-39 ft of water. Fish finder was going off like crazy on some parts, getting a lot of arches around 15-20ft down. I didn't catch anything, was bottom fishing w squid/bloodworm. It could've been blues... There weren't any birds working, but there were a few fish splashes around my kayak, like small bait fish breaking the surface (or maybe snapper blues).
