  • Tarpon 100 vs Tarpon 100 Angler ?

    Howdy folks,
Besides the $100 price difference, can anybody educate me what the difference is between these two yaks? The only thing I noticed were those 2 clips or rod holders behind the seat. I'm wondering if the hull may be different in some way? As always, thx for your input.

    Bill,
I bought a Tarpon 120 in July or August. Had a new Tarpon 120 for $734. The dealer told me the only difference between the Tarpon 120 and Tarpon 120 Angler was two flush mount rod holders behind the seat. The hull is the same and mine did come with the gear trax rails. As far as I know the hulls are identical.
Tarpon 120, no electronics, no pedals.
    Tarpon 100, the karma boat.

I've never had one, but from what I saw during kayak shopping research, they are identical hulls...the angler version just has the two rod holders behind the seat, as Backdoc posted.

        no difference, just the accessories.

They must be some REALLY good flushmount rod holders...
So basically 20-30 mins of your time could save you around $70.

I think it comes with a scotty bait casting rod holder as well. Still more expensive than doing it yourself.

This. Doing it yourself opens up more options too.
