I've posted this before and many of you may have seen it, but this is by far my favorite of the 2014 season. It's not so much the fish that I like (which was pretty cool too), but the candidness of the photo. Gary (Hemminway) snapped the picture at the perfect time; just as I was giving a big thumbs up to some flounder fisherman in a nearby boat.

I had a great fall fishing after a slow summer (except for a couple good days with the flounder). In addition, to this PB striper in the kayak, i caught my first bull red and cobia (both of these were from a boat). I am fired up to get going after them again this spring!

Best photos of 2014

While I was fishing in a pond that's half in MD and half in DE. I also saw my first mink this year while fishing above the coniwingo dam and had an owl land in a tree right near me.
