I'm not a marine biologist, but I did grow up on a farm, and can tell you that manure as fertilizer is more natural to the environment than the heavy metals and pollution industry introduces to our waters.

If we're going to start discussing politics, which this forum has not allowed in my experience here...I'll say now that I have become an official Maryland resident (as of last week, even though I've lived here for 9 years total), I'm happy MD finally has a Republican Governor. Maybe we can get some liberties back and get rid of some taxes.

Pollution is a global issue. If we as a state enact more stringent regulations than other states we are only hamstringing our economy and raising our utility bills with little benefit for the environment.
