FEBRUARY MEET AND GREET CANCELLED!!! (Lunch is also cancelled.)

Thank you everyone for showing interest in attending the February Meet and Greet. Every body of water that I have seen is either freezing or is frozen. The Susquehanna is no exception. Weather forecasts are continuing with sub freezing temperatures throughout the week. Just wasn't meant to be!

Hopefully the following weeks will show more favorable conditions and we could have an informal M&G. I will post something on the forum if the opportunity arises.

They need to change the sprinkler code in attics. I'm an electrician and I saw quite a few of them burst during the polar vortex last year.

I own a company that manages a lot of condominium associations. I expect a lot more to be popping this week, its interesting that PA and NJ the sprinkler system runs in the interior wall, in MD they run in the attics. Codes definitely need to be changed. Makes insurance in the state outragous. Hope to see you on the water some time.

Thanks for your leadership in taking charge of the meet and greet and for showing the common sense to call it off when Mother Nature did not cooperate. Jan and Feb are not easy months for planning large outdoor events in this area.

Hopefully we can reschedule this when things warm a little. Wasn't last years like early March? Looks like we might need to take up ice fishing in the meanwhile. Folks up at deep creek have been posting some giant yellow perch and walleye from there on the MD angler's log.
