I've got some news to share! I'm partnering with Kokatat. I debated this for a little while because giving folks the best advice is second to none. My sincere opinions are more important than any loyalty to a particular brand. Good news is that I didn't have to compromise because as you know, Kokatat is the premier dry suit manufacturer. I'll take the opportunity to promote on the water safety any day! They also make a ton of other premium level kayaking wear, including base layering, sun protection and paddling gear which I'll be proudly wearing.
I got all my gear, including their Expedition Dry Suit in the mail the other day. I'll still be posting plenty of shots and fishing reports on my book's FB page but I'll start to include some product reviews as I get good usage out of them. It'll all be straight forward, honest critiques, but at first blush the quality of all the gear I got is rather remarkable. You get what you pay for!
If you guys have any questions on gear, I should be able to help you out as I become familiar with how it performs. One item that Jeff Little got me hooked on is the silly wide brimmed hat. It kinda looks ridiculous but man, it's the best thing to wear in the rain, or in our case snow and sleet.
