Just an update. The mount had arrived yesterday. First impression: solid machinery and the magnets were stronger than I expected. The footprint of the magnet is about the size of a business card. Will test it tmw fishing for yellow perch. My stealth 14 have very flat sides which makes it extremely easy to install it anywhere I want. Once I determine the best location for the mount, I'll make a permanent bracket/mount to hold the inside hull magnet. That way I'll just twist off the outside magnet and put it away. Won't have to worry about the inside magnet when installing it again. I think I will love it.
Took me a while removing the old silicone caulk from the transducer which was mounted inside the hull. There was a lot of bubbles under the transducer. I was surprised since I thought it was a nice install from the previous owner. So can't wait to see any improvement for having the transducer in the water.
