I can't navigate the Coast Guard website nor understand their lingo sufficiently enough to understand why this was done this year and not other years... or did I miss the notices? I've been fishing the HH-WWD many times each year for over a decade and never remember a closure of boating due to ice.
I hope when the ban is lifted that members of snaggedline and other fishing websites make immediate posts about the lifting of this ban, otherwise I will most likely miss the announcement from the coast guard. Thanks guys.

I fished today until about noon, no ice or coast guard anywhere. On my way back home I stopped by harbor hospital as I have never launched from there before. No ice.
