Well Gents, it was all schoolies today to my knowledge. I caught four ranging between 14 and 20 1/2. However, many of the surf fishermen using live bait came up empty.
It was great to see Donv and cryptotek. I wasn't expecting to head out today but made the decision late last night and wasn't prepared in the morning so I didn't launch till around 9:20 by the time I finally got everything together. It was slow till around 10:30 when I caught my first fish at 10 ft. Not much happened will around 12 when I caught 7 consistently. Everyone on these 7 were caught on white 3" paddle tail with red 1/4 head. The first fish was caught on 1/2 white head with chartreuse 3" paddle tail. It was a great day with flat waters up until the end when the winds started to pick up. Had an accident once I beached the kayak trying to put the cart under my hobie. Took a nice chuck of skin with it but other then that it was an awesome day! uploadfromtaptalk1428871186947.jpguploadfromtaptalk1428871215462.jpguploadfromtaptalk1428871276221.jpguploadfromtaptalk1428871326957.jpg
I posted a video of Fort Smallwood a few days back in the boatyard. I had good luck with the ripple shad and xrap8. By far a Lucky Craft 78sp in blue metallic out caught everything else. I bet you had awesome weather today, congrats.

Couldn't find a 78sp named "blue metallic." My crankbait today was blue and I caught a 16 incher on it, and also had one big strike and but the fish broke my knot... =/
I got mine at Home Depot and zip tied in three places to my visa pole. I believe it was close to the 4th of July and they were on the end of the isles.
Lovely morning again and nice meeting you cryptotek & mdfisherman57.
They were running a little smaller than last week. I think I ended up with three around 17" . Michelle of course hit a couple bigger ones around 19". and ended up with four total for the day. Little harder to find this time but the bite was there with some work.
