River Monsters did an little bit on this in one of it's US episodes.. somewhere on the Mississippi there is an over abundance of Carp that flop in the air whenever a boat comes bye.. very dangerous, but potentially tasty. This particular type of carp is listed as an invasive species in that area.. if I recall correctly.

They tried to bow fish for those on The Reluctant Outdoorsman. Pretty funny seeing a guy that had no clue what he was doing getting slapped around by flying fish.
