Man that ride is to pretty to get wet.

That's going to be a joy to fish from. Let us know how the new FF works. That is next on my goodies list at that model was the one i had my eye on. What battery are you running to that? I have a 12v 5amp battery and was wondering how long it would last on a bigger unit.

I hope you coat the pretty red yak with fish slime on your maiden voyage at PLO.

Thanks.....I plan on having the boat very shiney at the end of the day as long as the fish cooperate.

The battery that I am using is a 12v 7amp battery. My monochrome FF use to last 1 and half day before needing to be recharged. I am not sure how long this one will last with the color FF. I plan on keeping an extra battery in the car, so when I come back to shore for a stretch and meet more kayakers before heading back out for the late afternoon bite,I will at least have the opportunity to switch out the battery for a fully charged one.

Moc- I haven't charged my battery but once all season- and I have the 570 DI Hummingbird- it is a small 12V, 7 amp battery- I might charge it today just in case for the M&G Saturday, but it seems not to get drained at all from the fish finder- the wet well duct seal works with down imaging and even the temps work fine- I plan on fishing with you as long as you want Saturday- you can have any big croakers I catch- my wife doesn't like croakers- I am targeting stripers and flounders.

            Moc,
Did you get a navionics chip or are you using the built in hummingbird maps? If you are using the built in maps let me know how the look and work as well.

Moc- Looks awesome man!!! Those rod holders really are nice, I was jealous of JFF the whole time at J-Bay and KN... my neck was hurting after both of those trips!

I'm curious about the FF too since I'm in the market after smashing mine at Kipto. It's still working somehow, but who knows how long that will last. I've been eying the 581, your model, and the 385. I think the base maps on the 5 series shows contour lines, but I'm not sure. I know the 385 does not and I am not sure if you add the chip if it will then. Let us know how you like it!
              Used to fish more.
