Hi folks, Larry from Pa, on the Mason Dixon line. Just picked up my first fishing kayak, a Copperhead 14.5 Slayer. It was a leftover 2014 model and I got a pretty good deal. All my past float fishing has been in various canoes, most recently a 16.5 ft Wenonah Prisim. Looking forward to expanding my horizons to include the bay and its tribs. I will use the boat for floating for smalls and will start hitting some of the more popular spots on the bay for stripers. I drive a green Outback, so if you see me I could use any advice you could provide. Seems like a friendly bunch here, I have learned a lot in the few weeks I have logged on
    See ya

Fishing at Ft Smallwood a couple days ago was decent, you should come down some weekend. That was my first trip out and had a blast. Get yourself some 1/2 oz jig heads or bucktails and silver, white, chartreuse, or any combination thereof plastic baits and you should be set. Rapalas are supposed to work well too, but I didn't have any luck with them on Saturday. Good luck!

          Welcome aboard Larry.
I'm a southern Maryland guy (Potomac River / central Bay) but you'll find we have many northern Bay members.
Hope to see ya on the water.

Fort Smallwood possible Sunday. Between OT at work and daughters graduation the next three Saturdays are booked. Point Lookout is also on my list. Used to fish there from the causeway years ago.
I can see now that my yard work is going to take a hit due to this new boat
